The cemetery is well kept but I have recently found out that the opening hours for the main gates have changed. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday, open 10am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 10 am to 1pm on Friday. However the side gate was open but it is no use if the grave you need is in the new part.
This cemetery is one of the best kept cemeterys I know. The grass is always kept lovely, the bins are regularly emptied. The grounds men are friendly and helpful. It's not a nice experience having to go to my dad's grave but my dad would be so pleased,if he could see the area that he is in, the view is fantastic and the surroundings are kept immaculate. Well done to all of the workers at Tonyrefail cemetery. You do it proud!!!
Not happy drove up from newport got there 15.50 Saturday 17/12/16 to put flowers on my sons grave to find it all locked up
